The day of silence is a day for the glbtq community to speak out againts hate crimes and for those who can no longer speak for this cause because they have suffered in some way from a hate crime involving this issue. Many schools, communities and people who support gay rights celebrate this day by taking a vow of silence. These people usually wear t-shirts and pins that explain why they can not talk. They also sometimes hand out stickers that may say ", I support" or "day of silence" on them. My question is, do you believe we should be able to celebrate this day freely?
