Dad lost his job,
You lost your mind.

Days filled with sobs,
No time to unwind.

No money coming in,
Yet all you do is work.

Life out of control in a spin,
Fear, and sorrow lurk.

Crying yourself to sleep out of fear,
Please make it stop!

Crying yourself to sleep so you don’t have to hear,
Everything falling apart.

No way to deal,
Everything is wrong.

After all this can’t be real,
It’s been going on too long!

Worrying about money,
If we’ll make it or not.

Just help me through this honey,
Your all I’ve got.

My daughter, my friend,
Help me make this all better.

Aid me in this time of need so this isn’t the end,
Call me or write a letter,
Lets both make this all better.
