Picture a picture perfect couple. Real Barbie and Ken types.
We'll call her Lindsay.
She is blonde, fit and has 10,000 megawatt smile.
The man's name is Jackson.
He is strong, handsome and cuts an imposing figure.
They are successful, smart and young.
They are your new neighbors.
And they hide a terrible secret.
At first you are taken in by them. They seem so like a celebrity couple.
Who could blame you? You are only sixteen and the world still seems so glamorous.
Lindsay is twenty-two and is a budding fashion designer. She is always dressed in cutting edge originals she designed herself.
Jackson is thirty and already vice-presdient of a major telecommunications firm.
They just got married last month. Lindsay is dying to have you over so she can show you the gown she designed herself.
Jackson is stoic but seems to be a decent enough guy. He is definitely very cute.
Lindsay gets all dreamy when she talks about him. They met three years ago when she was a temp at his office. He swept her off her feet. She was only nineteen and Jackson seemed like the proverbial knight in shining armor to her. He was the one who got her an apprenticeship with Alexis Molden, a top designer whose pieces have been featured in Cosmo and Vogue.
They live like people out of a fairytale. Or perhaps page six of the New York Post.
