A Poem To My Wife
Raven black hair.Sea green eyes.
What hopes do I dare,Of love and life.

You I hold true, within my chest.
My heart beats anew,Wishing not to rest.

In the night,Your visage I do see.
Surrounded by light,An angel for me?

Can this be true? Can this happen?
Luck does not knock, she never comes rapping!

Upon my door! Upon my soul!
What is in store? What is the toll?

Does luck she kiss me? Or is this a dream?

If dream it be,Sleep I wish.
Never to wake,To sit in bliss.

My soul has walked, alone thru time.
One chance does come,Only a single line.

To pull me free,To pull me from,This dishearting
misery!

I thank thee gods!I thank the goddess!
I know not what I did,To gain such a divine gift!

Hold her well,Hold her tight,
With each breath I promiseTo protect her as her
knight!
