yucckkyyyy
Forty hours won by chivalrous unions
Unions that erode
The sickly return of poverty
Bites at working hands
I would say
Capitalism Shmapitalism
But I’m scared I’m missing something?
If I am
Then what is all this?
The wages flat-line
But the bread does rise
How Sick!
To keep life from hungry bellies!
These innocent tummies cry
Just for shallow love
But we are all too busy getting
To be altruistic
The school dries up and crumbles
Self-sufficiency dies with it
Don’t think for yourself, it’s bad
And ask a question
So we can smack you in the mouth
Red muscled bodies
With the heads of smiling men
Disillusionment in the government
I wish I didn’t have
Robbed of feeling Human
And only a handful grasp
Somewhere that’s unknown to us
Whirling clouds of death devour
Tornado overhead
And the silence is so deafening
Immune to the sick toxicity
Of exploding arms and legs
Soldiers search for bones
The apathetic system never threw
Sadly, like so many
They are aimless wandering dogs.
