Walls built out of necessity for survival,
Built to salvage what could not be destroyed.
But storms brew from within
And thunder rumbles,
Fear sets in
And panic rises.
Suddenly a thunderous roar erupts
As the walls begin to crumble.
Trembling all over
Hands over my ears,
Eyes squeezed tightly shut
Against what is to come.
Walls crumbling
Life as I have known it,
Ending.
Lost in the storm of fear and confusion,
You reach out to me.
You pull me into the shelter of your arms,
Cradling me against you.
Through your embrace,
The fear and panic subside.
Through your embrace,
Peace and joy now reside!
