D'ey took up the entire sky, d'ey did. Oh, I tell yeh...The thing soared down from the night sky...Looked like a picture of a dragon, it did--Had the wings, the neck, the tail, the whole bit...But it didn't move...

What do you mean it didn't move?

I mean it looked like someone pasted a poster of a dragon to the very sky above yer head, like it were yer bedroom ceiling...It moved--Just so gradual-like yeh didn't even notice...Then a couple weeks later we found out why...

Why, Grandpa? Why did it move so slow-like?

Why, the thing were a thousand miles across! Soared down from Heaven and took up the whole sky arter a week...Turned out, its arms and legs and wings moved about--Oh, what did those scientists say--about two hundred miles an hour...It was just so big you didn't even notice it movin'...

Why was it so big, Grandpa?

B'cause he came from Jupiter! Them scientists did lots of rissurch on it, they did...Found out Jupiter's quite pleasant underneath all the storms and ice and whatnot...

Why did it come here?

No one knows, mah boy...no one knows...

Did it crash into the Earth?

No, muh boy...Just missed us...Grazed the very top of a big big thunderstorm, it did...Took the anvil right off it, like it were a statue of whip' cream...Made a giganterous vortex shape in its wake, it did...Spurned off a couple hurricanes and twisters, it did...

What color was it?

Mostly or'nge, muh boy...speckled wit' some yellow and green here and d'ere, but mostly a dark, drab, dull orange...

No, no...That was the only one, mah boy...that we know of...

Wow...a real-life dragon...Did it breathe fire?

Didn't when it came by...Dunno if it were capable er not...But it sure were amazing...

When did it happen?
