An "ode" to cleasing after a toxic relationship.
He attacks all your vital organs
Starting with mind
He toys with you,
A manipulation refined
You’re his new plaything

He never bypasses the heart,
Just circumnavigates, treating
It like the truth; he’s lunging
Toward the lungs, snatching
Air supply with treacherous
Kisses, suffocating slowly
Your will to run

He acts as the antidote
For an aching abdomen
But jealousy’s
Hard to shallow
He’ll stash your
Pride in the appendix
You won’t need it

He rejects the idea
That he’s diluting your
strength
Stronger he sails through
The small
Intestine soaking in affection,
Spitting out stupefaction
Nabbing necessary
Nutrients of
Determination
Your spirit is stuck
between the cracks

He decides now to take
A detour towards the
Kidneys filling them
With liquid love
Specious sweetness is
Easily evaporated
they’ll
Quiver and die,
Your destined
for dialysis

He tells you he’s done
For the day as
If to say he won’t slither
His way to the liver
Slimy secretions
Started no longer
Send bile,
Contaminated by
Vile poisons
Of probability
Your odds of
Living up his expectation:
Nill

Still, he resists expulsion
And blackens the veins
With excrement particles
And hatred remains
You are now cold
And dreary, too
Weary to fight him
So eerie, your notion
That he’s got you
Detained
You feel hair-brained
Ashamed

Through his circumnavigation,
A collision course
With the heart, to
Complete his subduction
By ending his start
Propositions has your brain
You can’t go insane,
Not all has he in his control
The glowing orb, an
Individual soul
Is still intact

While his rejection weaponry
threatens to thwart
your heart’s beating
The cold blackness
Chocking your veins is receding
No longer impeding
Your soul spreads
Purity slitting
Through gritty
Residue of
Your scar tissue

Reaching your
Stomach, the soul
Stirs the fluids
Your start retching,
The pain etching
Crinkles on your
Face, as you
Finally expel his waste
He is guaranteed no access
Vaccinated against,
Your soul locked the door
And the vomit on floor
Tells your heart he’s no more
