A billion faces,
In a million places,
Trillions of interwoven thoughts,
An illusion by the grandest puppet master.
I clamor to gain the entire view,
Earth below me,
With cities glowing,
Sands of the grandest red hue,
Forests interlacing with glaciers and prairies,
Heaven does offer quite a grand glimpse.
Had I not lived there once,
And tasted blood,
I would simply enjoy the sight,
I am discovered and asked to go,
I request to stay through the evening glow,
And refused.
My merits checked, my fate stamped,
As illusion dies I see there so much to be revealed.
