How the sea reclaims her honor |
THE SEA'S REVENGE By Thomas Hatfield 28th February 2007 As I rise from the depths; Flying through the water; As birds in the skies; I feel the water rushing over me; I am as free as the day I was born. In the blackness of the deep; In the cold of the abyss; I make my way to the surface; Every wing-beat brings me closer; To the war against the land. As the darkness breaks into light; The canyons sink below me; Ice is melting off the tips of my wings; Now there is no going back; The sea shall retake what is hers. I see my comrade's breaking the abyss; They will stand behind me in the fight; Till death will we stand on our feet; Never shall we live on our knees; Being the slaves of the land-livers. The sea begins to churn; From the storm above the waves; It strikes the land like artillery; Giving them the sign of our coming; Nothing will stand in our way. As I glide along the sea floor; It rises to meet the surface; The children of the sea send us off; Giving us their blessings; Rape without revenge will not be tolerated. Blood will spill tonight; The rivers and the lakes; The ponds and the seas; The swamps and the bogs; Will run red tonight. The sea will always win; All things came from the sea; And to the sea all things return; And upon this bloody night; The sea shall claim her due. Upon this night; Those who oppose her; Shall feel the pain of a lifetime; Through the water and the waves; We carry on. The tips of my wings break the surface; I stand up and begin to march; From the water and the waves; I get first look at my foes; They show the fear. My foes flee from her anger; They flee from her wrath; They flee from her power; They flee from what is coming; And I am what is coming. I tread through the floods; My first victim comes toward me; The Sword of Depths cuts him down; And so the bloodshed begins; Tonight the seas shall run red. They fire again and again; We kill again and again; Live to fight; Fight to live; The mother shall take her due; The destruction is vast; The pillage is great; The revenge is felt; The fear is sent; The power is redeemed. Under a blackened sky I kill; The rain pours down; The lightning strikes; The thunder claps; And the blood flows. I am a master of destruction; We cross the enemy standards; Reminding them of who they owe; We leave the signs of our passing; All through the night. As the dawn approaches; We retire to the waters; Back to the lakes and seas; Back to the rivers and streams; Back to fight another night. The fate of this world is sealed; Every life shall be repaid; Every trespass shall be relinquished; Every theft will be relieved; The sea shall have her revenge. |
