The heartache of being in love with the unlovable who has built walls around her heart
Beneath the Fall

Stunning good looks and a delicate kiss,

Aren’t good enough for you to put up with this.

Big green eyes and a beautiful smile,

Only mask the pain for a little while.

So a beautiful out without a beautiful in,

Leave both lovers hurt and no one to win.

But there’s pain in her smile as she puts on a show,

Hoping someday she’ll be able to let go.

But without trace for that day to arrive,

She waits at the ledge of tomorrow, ready to dive.

And without getting wet,

And without letting go,

Hopeless, hopeless,

She just does not know.

So if you see the girl with a beautiful out,

Take notice for sure, but keep your doubt.

She hurts and she stings,

Only misery she brings.

And behind her smile and her pretty face,

Lie weapons of woman that leave a bitter distaste.

So when she looks so kind,

Redirect your mind.

For a beautiful out does not mean a beautiful in.

But ugly ins cry for help.

Wanting to be beautiful they yelp and they yelp.

So if your strong and if your brave.

Rescue the woman who contradicts herself.

For there is a twinkle in her eye that proves

She is ready to live not to die.

So the ugly in continues to win.

But if you break down her walls,

It will be worth the fall.

For a hidden inner beauty will catch the hero who risks it all.

Beauty and ugliness intertwined,

Beauty prevails, most would deny.

But give her a chance and fight the good fight.

Give her a glance and let her know everything will be alright.

For the ugly in can be destroyed,

And the beautiful woman won’t be marked void.

She’ll be a beauty in essence, in every way.

She’ll someday truly seize the day.

And with her hero on her side, who will it be?

Are you willing for another to set her beauty free?

Only love breaks down pain,

So the questions remain-

Is the beauty worth fighting for?

Is she worth the loss and the gain?
