A Pantheistic God Complex

Ashtree* is not what she is...

She is a crab,
An overhead projector,
A homeless man’s shoelace,
A ‘bus prefect’ badge,
A hippies moustache,
Chad Michael Murray’s earlobe,
A reflex angle,
The dotted line on red paper,
The dead insect inside lighted ‘Exit’ signs,
The smell of hair product burning,
Pedro’s magical pony,
A colourful card,
The end ring of a rattlesnakes rattle,
An appendix of a beetle,
The body which is a winter wonderland that freezes under the wrath of the air-conditioner,
The ants that ice skate on the rink of my palm,
The light in your room

The yes, yes, yes, in agreeing that I, the light, *globe, globe, globe*, glows.

         She is pinned raggedly to the school wall.
         She puts the HISM in BUDDHISM,
         Which then makes her surreal, because “she be crazy”,
         Like Buddha.
The capital L in 250mL,
The diamantes in my fake gold watch,
The fluffy blue-ness of this furry school,
The fingernails attached to the depressed teachers and students that smile at the absurdity of this poem.
