Under the Sky of Broken Dreams

Misty light falls through the canopy,
Strange calls from animals you can't see.
You wander through this forest blind,
So feel free to take your time.

The clouds overhead are black,
Made of broken dreams.
Here in this forest of shattered glass,
Nothing is as it seems.

Darkness lies like a veil,
Not even the mighty will prevail.
The brave turn into cowards here,
Where thoughts are spiderwebs of fear.

You're no different than the rest,
Who say they'll live, they'll pass the test.
