A silly poem about the love between two woodland creatures.
I still remember the night we met,
Thunder and lightning and soaking wet.
Your striped suit made you look debonair,
Was this love or something in the air?

The cave was crowded that stormy night,
With creatures crammed in from every plight.
No shining stars nor glimmering moon,
Just a mean glance from that ol' raccoon.

We married at the top of a spruce;
Bridesmaids were mice, the best man a goose.
Moved in with my folks the other day,
Until our house is built by the bay.

My parents smell a pungent odor,
My quills tingle, a purring motor.
You scramble me eggs and fry me grubs,
Use a real long stick for good back rubs.

Sometimes we argue, sometimes we pray,
Sometimes I poke and sometimes you spray.
Sitting by the lake, real deep thinkers,
Our kids will be...sharp little stinkers.
