When I broke my ankle
Fallen

I have fallen and I cannot stand

Burdened by pain of the condition at hand

I’m stuck in one position, an uncomfortable seat

I will not give up or admit defeat

Soon I’ll be out of here but life is still hell

Things are getting scary and I cant find my shell

The pain is not pleasant but I wont give up the fight

I cannot wait to get out of here and finally see the light

I’m forced to give up some things and learn some new tricks

Stuck inside, stall bound, till my bones are fixed

But the dedication of my crew, riders, grooms and friends

Working as a team, picking up loose ends

They’ll hold down the fort till my welcome return

All taken in stride with new lessons learned
