My thoughts when I broke my ankle. How life goes on without me.
The long road

A tear falls, just one of many
I try not to think of them
But they wont go away
They were my life, why I woke up
Now I cant sleep at night
My reason is gone
Their job is unchanged
They continue on without me
They don’t know I’m missing
I put them out of my head
Out of my touch, out of my sight
Or else I believe I’ll go mad
Is it possible to live so much for one thing
Yes, if you believe the faith is strong
I am too lost without them a part of me
Out of sight, out of mind
But never out of heart
My love will not fade
Till my return to my love
I’ll not be the same
For too much is missing
But I will return one day
And recapture my job
A hard road indeed
But I’ll not travel alone.
