Ok, If you know nothing of the history up to this point, Caeser is one of the most famous military commanders of all time. He began raising his legion in Africa the moment he was released from captivity. Caeser has left his rich post in Spain with a very loose order from the senate to pacify Gaul. This basically means he can do as he likes!

Quintus Ferrus has been in the army a long time. He has been in Caeser's legion since before he was in Spain. He joined in the height of the Spartacus rebellion. Quintus has become a sort of father to many of the young recruits.

Titus Opulus is a fresh, young recruit. He looks on Quintus as his father. He has not yet seen battle and is dreading the ones to come against the Helvetii.
