I never understood the point of funerals. We go to see the person and that's how we're going to remember them? They're not some cold, waxy figure with fingers interlaced, placed softly across their chest. Maybe they always smiled. Well they're not smiling as they lay in the in the coffin. People say they need a funeral for closure. Closure so what? You can remember them the wrong way and always be disappointed? I mean, sure, it helps me realize the person is dead, but in the end you're just disappointed.
