The feeling of flying down thw road on two wheels.
                                                          “Free To Fly”

The morning sun is bright, the air is crisp
The sound of birds sing their wake up songs
There it sits shining like diamonds around the neck of a beautiful woman
I hear it calling; I feel the need to embrace its strength and power

Slowly I mount the cold steel and ease my leather clad body on it to fit as one
I talk sweet and low asking it to take me away as I turn the key and fire it up
The rumbling of the twin pipes echoes the morning stillness,
The birds stop to listen to the music of the freedom machine.

Drop it down one and pull away, the flight has begun
The breeze is so cool as it rushes by.  My right hand twists to feel the coldness; thoughts are racing at my every move, Knowing others don’t care
If I live or die. It’s the hardest part when you fly.

The lines whip by like dots on a black top. Speed up and they become one long line
Flying on the open air I feel like an eagle soaring above the earth without a care
The days events can’t hold on, they leave my mind clear and free
Just ahead the open road waits, one more turn and off I fly.
Faster and faster till I level out, the rumble of the heart joins the beat of my own.

The speed is invigorating, the blood soaring though my veins.
As I lean on every curve the ride has become a flow, twisting and turning as I move down the road.
As I fly on with out a care, soon the reality comes back. Home I must go

I take the next turn to point my way to the daily grind
Slower I go to prolong the flight, but at last it comes to an end.
As I take it in low I pull to a stop, one more twist to hear it again. Click goes the switch in an instant it’s gone. Flip down the stand and lean it left.
Slowly standing as I become again separate, I look over my shoulder as I walk away. whispering," I’ll be back soon and again we'll fly."
