This is in no way finished. You are warned.
"Hi Ho Silver, Away!"
Was the last anyone heard him say
When he rode off valiantly into the sunset
A narcissistic voice
A call to himself
That's the last we saw of him
Tonto died of cancer.
Too much fire water.
Silver succumbed to old age.
Had to be put down.
But we never saw the Lone Ranger again.
Oh, what about mall openings?
That's not him.
Not the hero of the old west we once knew.
No, just an empty shell of a man
sitting in a nursing home corner
Taunting the last days of his life
with hidden snorts of whiskey
Reliving glory vicariously
through old television re-runs.
Talking with Tonto
in the farest reaches
of his mind.
"Away!"
