My darling boy

Oh my darling, brave, strong boy
how I love you and admire you too.
You are my strength, it should be the other way .

There is a feeling I cannot shake that soon we will part
I am not ready yet to say goodbye,  but I will not stop you
when you decide it is time.
I know the pain will be unbearable for me. 
My heart will break, and never again will things be the same.
 
There is one thing that comforts me, that God will then take all the pain from you,
for then you will be free to run, sing and jump.
Pappy is there waiting for you, and he will show you around and give you a hug.
When you feel too tired and like it is your time to go, do not hold on for me.
I will be ok, and so will you. 

We will hopefully meet again, when it is my time to go.
Until then please know that my love for you will still grow.
The knowledge that you are free of the pain and the torment you enured on earth
will help me to keep going and ease the pain some.
