A Pearl in Gold

I saw you there yesterday sitting all alone, you looked so fragile, so vulnerable, it looked like you were on a throne.

As I gazed upon you the sun was shining down, the radiance of the rays made the gold around you dance all around.

Then all at once I noticed that you looked opaque, you danced with many colors your face I could clearly trace.

As I continued gazing, my heart felt full of love, How could I behold your beauty? How could I return your glance?

You shone like a new pearl, the finest I could find, a treasure worth keeping, a rare and precious find.

I wish that day could last forever, I felt whole and alive.
