Our Father's Work


O precious, loving Jesus; Your greatness first appeared
When as a tender youth You taught; and eternal things you shared
We marvel at the abiding faith; that shone Your whole life through
It started when You told your parents,"I have my Father's work to do".

O precious, loving Jesus, You create and sustain life divine,
You formed us in God's image, with our salvation first in mind,
Help us to focus on Your grace, that we may clearly view,
And understand that our greatest work, is our Father's work to do.

O precious, loving Jesus, You shower us with gifts from above
Enable our tasks with sufficient strength, and guide us with Your love
Give us a conscience clear and bold, show us a purpose true,
That we may realize our greatest joy is our Father's work to do.
