Today may be your last; has that crossed your mind?
TODAY

Today is a new day; all others have passed.
What will you do today that will forever last?
You can dread it, enjoy it, or waste it away.
You can plan it all out, or live it His way.

What you do is important; you can't take it back.
Your thoughts, words and deeds are recorded exact.
There are no second chances; no way to rewind.
Today may be your last; has that crossed your mind?

Time is not friendly; it waits for no one.
But time doesn't matter if you know His Son.
He'll guide you and show you; you'll never be alone.
And when your time is over, He'll welcome you home.

We will all face our Father when our last day is done.
Whether we want to or not, it's us-and-Him; one-on-one.
Will you kneel before Him with regrets, fear and guilt?
Or will you lay at His feet the many treasures you've built?

Today is forever, if you look at it that way.
Today is a gift; one we can never repay.
Today is a coin; to be spent only one time.
We can lose it, waste it, or leave it behind.

God isn't concerned about the number of our days.
He cares only how we spent them; He will count the ways.
The way that we lived them; the ways that we've given.
The way we've told others how to get to His Heaven.

Consider this new day; it's more than just time.
It's our only opportunity to spend our "last dime".
With yesterday gone and no promise of tomorrow,
Today is a gift that we can neither lend nor borrow.

So before you decide what to do with this day,
Ask Him what He wants; to do that you pray.
For He knows all our needs and provides us with grace,
And rejoices with us when, one day, we finally see His face.
