i wrote this poem shortly after I met my current boyfriend and stopped cutting myself
These Teen Years

Tears will fall
and hearts will break
whether you're asleep
or wide awake
You'll dream your dreams
and live your life
but you will encounter
pain, suffering, and strife
Life will go on
and you'll move right ahead
but listen in to your heart
and not only your head
These years are tough
I'm not gunna lie
but we can all make it
you just gotta try
