Color of Love

Most people, most days,
Wander through a world black and white,
Seeing only shades of gray
Fear forcing them to accept this blight.

Some people, some days,
Seize an opportunity to be great, and
For that moment, their world is ablaze
With colors nothing can abate.

Very few people are fortunate enough to be immersed
In color every day,
But with one innocent encounter,
For me, there was no more gray.

You see it is love that colors my world
And when we met, I knew
You were my soul mate,
And my color of love was you.
