When people just don't look deep enough.
You expect me to be happy
and always wear a smile.
But you don't understand,
so we'll step into my world for awhile.

We'll have someone come home
and immediately start to yell
so that your tears want to flow
and you feel like you're in hell.

Don't forget the aching
that's always in your heart.
And don't forget the insanity
that's torn your life apart.

You must suffer from a complex
that says you do no right.
And you have to be a pessimist
saying there is no end in sight.

And everyone is angry
because you have some problems.
And no one understands,
they tell you just to solve them.

Now tell me to be happy.
I beg you for that smile!
For I cannot do it on my own,
while my being you defile.
