A glimpse of life after death, reincarnation, finding that we all must go around again |
A Solitary Walk Anew By Richard Vance Again, without a reason why, there seems to be no end to conscious thought; Or could it be this scene reflects no more than images from restless sleep? But more and more as all the truths unfold, of people, places, things untold, it suddenly becomes so clear; There is no doubt this is a place that’s surely known to me; Familiar images draw near, the sights and sounds and smells; The happiness and lack of sadness here just naturally eliminate the fear; Memories of all the ages past, all at once come flooding back; I am again with those I love; They help me see with just a glance, that truth remains, to forever act upon the conscious mind; To give, perhaps, a guide to paths I might have walked If I had only known for sure that what I did was right or wrong; And what gets thrown aside in life, will, one day return from those dimensions still unknown to mortal man; And without appeal will be thrust upon the all inquiring soul, to contemplate in solitude; And ultimately to judge the self, and find another journey forth must surely come: a solitary walk anew in Eden’s garden ruin. |
