NOthing to spectacular
At last Im able to break free,
To long, I've hid in the shadows of me.
No light, all life seemed to be drained,
In the world, created by my brain.

I've tired to push it back, for decades it feels,
Soon to be, never released, so tightly sealed.
Everything was so seemingly dark,
Forever to leave a scar, a mark..

Making me emotionless, barely able to feel,
A horrible disease that could to never heal.
A world of death and fiends,
Never able to find my means.

Looking up, never saw the joy of blue skies,
Only the pain, that would make me cry.
Its dangerous what a human can do,
And Ive thought many ways to do it thru and thru.

Barely able to hang on to sanity,
Confusing, fantasy and reality.
Always spiraling down into a hole,
My body felt cold without it's soul.

But that seems to be all over now,
And light begins to shine, finally, but how?
Soon the mist begins to clear away,
No longer from the path I stray.

New feelings begin to wake inside,
Those that had once been alive, that have all died.
I begin to cry again but not for the pain Ive felt,
But for joyous reasons, soon to melt.

The icy barrier around my heart,
Just her smile was enough to pierce like a dart.
Never felt this way in my entire life,
All I ever felt was pain and strife.

Now that scar in me is barely shown,
The pain inside has gone and flown.
My shoulders seem to feel much lighter,
Now that Im done being a fighter.

No longer must I battle with the fears in my heart,
No longer shall I hide in the dark.
No more will darkness cloud my skies,
No more will I be telling myself grave lies.

I have a new reason to be,
And its a beautiful one to me.
And I think its going to be alright,
As long as your by my side, Life will always be joyous and bright.
