You used to stare at me blankly
Saying this, saying that
You always spoke frankly
But I often pretended not to hear that

You always seemed to be mean
But then at times you made me smile
I had often seen your grin
And not realized that was only for a while

I can't recall the last time
I said “I love you”, or “take care”
Though you're just there all the time
It seemed our communication was just a stare
