To no god do I pray, nor king do I bow For I find myself trapped, in the Jaws of Life.
The Jaws of Life by G. Mc G.

Tearing through death like shredded steel,
So that into the night these fools may steal,

The jaws of life, they pull us from death
And into it's jowels on our last dying breath.

Strewn about the living, it seems so unreal,
Away from disaister, and it's tattered breadth,

Back to what caused our utter demise
Which would lead us to rest, the ultimate prize.

It's a part of life though, you cannot deny,
It shant be avoided, not matter how hard you try.

Along with ourselves, our sleeplessness dies
And in thier despair, many will cry,

For there is no return, and no second chance.
You've only one life to pray, learn, and dance.

And with life comes the sorrow, remorse, and regret
But we assure ourselves that there's no need to fret

To our heart it's a break, to our body a lance.
To a priest it's a sermon, to a gambler a bet.

There's no doorway out, no escape for me now,
Only life, ergo death, the only question is how.

Remember, friends, you must live your life
Though it may be wrought with peril and strife

To no god do I pray, nor king do I bow
For I find myself trapped, in the Jaws of Life.
