Writing promt. Don't laugh. -_-;
Florence & Edward
By: BWC (Bunny’s Writing Corner)
Writing Prompt
Note: this is a writing prompt I had to do for fun, this is my first time showing a story on here. Please do not give me comments like, “I don’t like this story they act immature.” Too bad. And if anyone’s been inspired by places such as SeventhSanctum.com, give it a try if your suffering from a case of writers block. Enjoy!

Oh say, “Your life is perfect, Princess Florence” when in reality, it is so confusing not one person understands me at all! And I know everything is going to go bad on me, it seems to be a reoccurrence when it comes to an idiot Duke named Edward. Him and I never liked each other…in fact, we hated one another! He never liked my taste in dresses and I wasn’t so fond of the fact he is a big mouth as well as a hell house temper, he never listens. He’s always so high on himself. I’ll get back at him one day, hoping he’ll leave me alone. We have been at each other’s throats since I was little!

Of course him and I met once again, he was tall and he was very skinny (I don’t know how one so thin could be a duke anyways). He had green eyes and blonde hair, he wore a blue, droopy robe and a pair of black pants. He had a sword in a sheave, and a water bottle in pocket. He had a cocky smirk on his face, he knew where I was going.
“In search of that circlet, you untamed hell woman?” He scoffed. “I bet I could find it before you can, you always worry that something will go wrong.” Of course pardon my language but if you can compare Edward here to an ass it’d match, believe me, it would.

I on the other hand had red hair, I have no idea if it was dull or not but I really don't care and brown eyes. I was wearing an adventure's outfit that was made of thick leather, and matching pants and boots. I carried a bag of assorted materials, a water bottle and I had a dagger in case of emergencies (wish I could kill Edward with this but not now.)

We first made it to The Aquatic Wastelands of the Ever-changing Fields. It was like all swamps, disgusting and filled with dangerous creatures but it was filled with magic that could change anyone and anything into something else. The best way to get rid of this magic is to hold your breathe, the longer you hold, the less likely you are going to shape shift into god-knows-what. Of course, I’m not good at holding my breathe in the bath tub, I know how this is going to turn out.

Damn. I thought. I don’t know how to hold my breathe for so long… I held and I held until near the end of the swamp. I let out a breath! Suddenly, I started becoming scaly and very small. I looked in the swamp water and saw a frog.
Just my luck. I wailed in my head. Not going to get the circlet now. Think I’ll eat flies out of misery!

Then all of a sudden I was picked up by… the duke? He held me to his face.
“This matches you.” He said. I was right, he did beat me to the end. He was a couple feet away from the magic. “Want some flies for lunch?”
I spoke finally.
“You better change me back, you jerk!” I growled. “Or father isn’t going to be so pleased at this.”

Edward insisted anyways and yet again the race continued, We made it to every place and he always made it in the end. We finally made it to the Krystal Caves where the circlet was hidden in. Edward walked in first, with me following. Soon we found ourselves near a huge rock with a platinum circlet set with spinals and topazes. It was in excellent shape. That was the circlet of truth!

My opponent tried to climb the top, I grabbed in him by the legs and forced him down, then I climbed up to circlet. Edward went to the other side. Something hit us, memories of our separate parents, they used to be best friends with each other until my mother died and his mother left his father.

We both felt sorry for each other and left that circlet in there. He looked at me, I looked at him.
“I’m sorry,” He said. I smiled.
“I’m sorry too…Edward.”
Him and I shook hands. Him and I sat next to each other, sharing a bottle of water since I lost mine somewhere.
“Florence.” He says calmly.
“Yes?” I questioned.
He sipped his water.
“Maybe being friends is better than enemies, it’s sad that we didn’t realize the truth.”
I sipped my water.
“You’re right.”
He looked at the setting sun with a small smile on his face.
“Florence?”
I stared at his face.
“Yes?”

“I hope we’ll be friends for life.”
I smiled.
“So do I.” I responded.

End

A//N: Pardon the cheesy ending but my short stories are two pages or more. *long sigh* Please don’t flame or throw critiques at me, I already had problems like that with other people! I know it’s a way for me to be a better writer and all but it gets annoying when you already have everything down. It’s also very annoying with one word comments, I’d like to see something other than “cool” or “great story”. Please explain, I’d appreciate it. Thanks,
Lain E.
