It is a song, about life, and dying inside
Oh lady dearest, why do you cut yourself?
Like that of a statue,
Laid on a dusty shelf

Do you feel worthless?
Or is someone not seeing
That you have a purpose,
And they think your dreaming,

Oh lady dearest….

Oh lady dearest.
Why are all the people staring?
As you put on a show.
Behind the smile they couldn’t see how,
Lady dearest was dead before they could know.
She danced with the devil, which cut her till she died
She couldn’t grasp but a small bit,
Of her precious life

Oh lady dearest….

Oh lady dearest, why do you scream?
Does it hurt that bad, to be so pretty?
Do your tears constantly burn you?
Have you no love?
You shine so bright,
Yet you are fragile as a dove.
Oh lady dearest….

Ohhh lady dearest
Why are all the people staring?
As you put on a show.
Behind the smile they couldn’t see how,
Lady dearest was dead before they could know.
She danced with the devil.
Who cut her till she died
She couldn’t grasp but a small bit,
Of her precious life
Oh lady dearest….

Oh lady dearest why do you cry?
Does anyone care that tears fall from your eyes?
And why are they so mean to you?
Is it because you’re so small?
Do you feel like dying?
Is better than living with nothing at all?

Oh lady dearest…….

Why are all the people staring?
As you put on a show.
Behind the smile they couldn’t see how,
Lady dearest was dead before they had known.
She danced with the devil.
Who cut her till she died?
She couldn’t grasp but a small bit, of her precious life

Oh lady dearest
She tried too hard to mend it,
Her heart that was torn inside
She knew she couldn’t fake it
All those tears she tried to hide,
Her gauge was all on empty
Her breath ran so short
Lady dearest died lonely
The one little girl that had been ignored
Her tears are the rain now.
Her screams come from the flames.
Lady dearest is the future.
And she shares with you her pain.
