My friend wrote a poem about me. I decided to return the favor. |
I spin in the moon and make him long for the old days. My long, white gown trails behind me. My long, slender legs move so gracefully, As I does my whole body. My outstretched arms are welcoming him To join me in my celestial dance, The dance of the moon. The stars spiral around us. It is a magical light show. Of course that is only a long, lost memory of mine. I sit in the sky and reminisce Back to when he would dance with me. Now I wait for him impatiently for his chains That keep him on earth to set him free. I can't stand watching him being so miserable. I give him my hand for another dance, But the demons parade around him And prevent it from happening. Oh how I remember back to when we were Hand in hand in our dance of the night, Spiraling to a limbo. A limbo that is truly paradise. Trees taller than the sky, Flowers that sing songs of glee, Soft ground with the greenest grass, And you could roll in it for hours. The ocean as blue as the deepest and biggest diamond. Moonlight dances on the surface. The crystal-like sand sparkles As he and I tickle toes On moist, velvety green grass in our limbo. I dance with him With only him With him only Only with him will I do the dance of the moon again. How I long for my body to press up against his. Our movements in sync. Swaying side to side, back and forth. Being with him makes me warm inside As if an internal fire burns when our sparks meet. But now I am alone And bitter cold nips at my nose. I wait for that one day. The day that he returns to me To dance the celestial dance As for now... I spin in the moon and it makes me long for the old days. |
