Shades of gray.

Let me envision a world
Where light floods the shadows,
Illuminating every corner
Of darkness.

I have time to be like you
I have time to doubt goodness
To expect the worst
To get caught in the riptide
Of ulterior motives
And personal gain.

Let me take my time.
Let me choose.
