Fun, Light, and airy poem. |
One day I was outside a playing by the apple tree, When all of a sudden I was stung by a Bumble Bee; I hurried to the door to go inside, When, what do you think came and stung my pride; That Darn Bumble Bee was a following Me, As I jerked and I swatted, as in battle, you see; That Darn Bumble Bee was getting the best of Me, But, I finally got free of that Darn Bumble Bee; And I reached and I grabbed for the door, As he went and stung me once more! As I ran through the house, tracking dirt everywhere, That Darn Bumble Bee followed my derriere; I swung and I kicked, Trying hard not to be licked; When all of a sudden my mom gave me a spat, And where do you think that Darn Bee Sat! But, right there on my moms clean floor, Looking just as dead as a door; I swept up the bee with the dirt I'd dragged in, And went outside to throw it in the bin; When all of a sudden I was attacked on the chin, By what I believe, was that Darn Bumble Bees Kin. I ran and I ran, to try to get away, But they acted like they meant to stay; I ran into the neighbors yard, And ended up falling really hard; Knocking myself unconscious, While a dog was being abnoxious; When I came to, I was swollen all over, But the bees were fighting with Rover; So, I got myself up and hurried away, Looking back every step, for fear that they may- Be following me back to my house, you see, For now I Know What Bees Can Do To Me. |
