This is a very short, somewhat creepy story. My first publicly shown piece of writing.
I happened upon a small thing. Not right to eat. It had no rotting smell, so perhaps it could still move. If it could move, it could grow. Bigger, stronger, learn to hunt. I know how to hunt. I was to teach my own small things how to hunt, but they got out in the cold and when I found them, they had that smell of rot. Such a terrible smell. I fear it. I cannot see it; it cannot chase me, but I fear that rotting smell. Those small things were no longer my own, they became nothing. Ground that I walk over.

This thing’s scent does not make me scared. I will take it home. It will grow, big and strong. It will be my little one.

It does not have covering like me and my other ones. As I drag it, it’s taste gets into my mouth. Not a good taste, but it makes me want to eat. I will eat later. I set the thing down, and lick the taste off. Not like water, this liquid. Too thick. I leave my home to drink water.

When I return, it is moving. I see it’s eyes. It watches me. It makes noises. Strange noises, they are sharp in my ears. It got water on its eyes. It is not licking its wounds. How can it grow, if it does not? I will help it.

I do not remember it with such a claw, but now it hurts me. I cannot move my leg now. Again, it attacks. I do not like this feeling! I feel such a great fear. Fear. Fear. Still it hurts. It is done, it watches me, making noises. My eyes stop, I feel everywhere. It watches me, it is gone. Nothing, like my little ones. I do not understand. Why so much fear and pain? I would teach it, it will grow up, I will protect it. Why does it bring me pain? So much pain. Why?
