[Introduction]
Drez shrugged, "You're choice if you want to find out."

Rose Dark Thorn
Kira turned around on the saddle, grinning deviously. "Oh, I think this will be a new experience for both of us. Never tried it on a horse before."

dragondancer
The youwarkee laughed and kissed her cheek, "Really, Assai? Then this will be a learning experience for both of us!"

Rose Dark Thorn
Kira joined in his laughter as she wondered how they would get situated. "Maybe Sancho will do all the work for us."

dragondancer
Drez winked at her, "If that be the case, we might never get to our destination!"
Rose Dark Thorn
Kira laughed once more, purring as her fingertips traced the waistline of his pants. "Perhaps not, but at elast we'll enjoy the ride." She grinned deviously, her eyes full of laughter.

It took quite a bit of balance and even more patience than that to actually get Drez's pants off. It was even more of a challenge ducking the lower limbs of trees as he did so.
Drez grinned, "I'll ignore them if you do!"
Drez whimpered and burrowed his face into her neck, "Legends help me if I die from this!"
The youwarkee growled as he ducked another limb, "Enjoying...this...too much?"
Drez growled as his arms trickled down her sides, carefully making shivers follow behind them. "Not going to.""
The youwarkee growled in her ear, his eyes shut as they rode on. Gods, Kira seemed to be able to do everything!
"Top?" Drez spoke with a growl, "Never...with me!"
Drez growled, "Sometimes both."

He frowned with annoyance as Sancho came to a hault.
Drez purred his agreement as his eyes caught the glint of the giant lake, "Care for a bath, Assai?"
Drez growled as his view was masked by her shirt for a moment before he managed to toss it aside. He slid off the horse's back with ease, chasing after Kira as she scampered into the lake before them.
Drez caught up to her quickly in the water and grabbed her wrists, pulling her towards him before landing a kiss firmly on her lips, a bubbling growl sending a mass of bubbles to the surface.
Drez grinned for ear to ear, "And why not?"
The youwarkee growled as he curled his arms tighter around his prize with a grin on his face, "At least I'm a clean devil."
Drez grinned, "I can't help it if I have a goddess for a mate."
The youwarkee growled as he laid his forehead against hers, "Like all Hells you aren't! You're mine; you're beautiful; and that's enough for you to be a goddess to me!"
Drez nearly dropped Kira at that. The shock made him fall to his knees, sending them waist deep in water again. Gods, how did she know...did she?

"How..." he spoke so softly as his eyes finally focused on her again, "How did you know...?"
Drez set her down gently and walked over to Sancho's saddle as calmly as he could. He fumbled around for a while before cursing at the blasted heap of leather and his own shaking hands. "I..." he tried to speak over his shoulder, "Blasted saddle! When we were in Cheric...I..." he growled darker, "By the legends...."
Drez collapsed next to her with the ring in his hand. He raised it up to look at it in the dimming light of dusk, "I thought this would be perfect for us...I..." he blushed a little as he enclosed it in his palm and stared down in his lap as he sighed.
Drez looked at her in surprise. "...You...you mean...you really want to?"

He sloshed his way infront of Kira and gently raised her hand as he did his best to slip the ring onto her finger. It took only a moment for him to drop it into the sand between them.
Drez came up with the ring in hand. He couldn't help his hands shaking so much as he tried to slip it on again.
Slowly, the youwarkee slid the silver jewel onto Kira's hand. He stared at it for a long time, a heavy ball of lead in his stomach for some reason.

Raising a hand, he traced Kira's cheek gently, his eyes close to tears, "You'll really marry me?"
Drez nodded, completely undone, "I...I feel like a flabbering idiot. ...I thought I'd have to..." he gulped, realizing his heart was beating out of control, "I thought I'd have to convince you somehow...and that you wouldn't want to...Gods, Kira, I don't think I've ever been so happy!"
The youwarkee sighed as he wrapped his arms about Kira and scooted closer. "I'm never going to leave you, Assai...not even for a legend!"
Drez grinned as he rested his head on top of hers, "I don't think I have any objections to proving it to you as many times as I have to, Assai."
The youwarkee smiled, "What makes you think she doesn't all ready know about the engagement? I'll bet she even knows the name to our first baby!"
The youwarkee watched her curiously for a long time. It wasn't exactly what he meant by that. "...Mother doesn't know everything, Assai...but I what happens now is almost certainly known to her. You do remember that she didn't have a clue where you were for years on end, right? And she didn't have a clue who your mother was before they met..."
Drez sighed as he pulled her hand up to his lips, gently kissing her knuckles before turning to unload the saddlebags from their horses. "I'm sure it will in time, Assai. But for now? How about dinner? I'm starving!"
Drez managed to get the food onto the fire before he got distracted. He growled a little as he felt his stomach rumble. "I don't think I'll ever manage a meal without thinking about something else..." he mused as he poked at the fire in idle frustration. "...Kira..."

He looked over at her to see that she'd fallen asleep. It seemed that all their sport had really gotten to her. Not that it surprised him...he was dog-tired too, just hungry at the same time.
The moment Kira shifted, he dropped everything and came over to her. Curling his arms around her and purring seductively into her ear, "Care to join me in the tent, Assai?"
The soft whispers of cotton and leaves tumbled about them in a soft melody as Drez and Kira settled down to sleep for the night. It would be another long day come the morning.
Drez sighed as he stretched and opened his eyes to see Kira wide awake. He purred as a grin covered his face. "How'd you sleep, Assai?"
Drez chuckled, "I was thinking about waking you up to it this time...it's a shame I wasn't the first one up."
The youwarkee grinned all the more, "Care to make good on my plans anyway, Assai?"
"Not a problem," smiled the youwarkee, "I'll have Mother enchant it when we get back. Will that help?"
Grinning from ear to ear, Drez shifted his weight on top of Kira and looked down at her, "I'll see to it that it never comes off that finger..." he nibbled on her ear for a moment before whispering, "Well, until Mother needs it to put the enchantment on it."
Drez grinned as he lifted Kira up against him, plastering her body against his as best he could with one hand, "Besides what we ought to be doing?" He purred into her ear before tracing a few kisses down her neck, "How about..." he caught her lower lip for a moment, feeling a moan rumble from his throat, "I make made, passionate love to you."
Drez purred as Kira shifted against him, sending waves of pleasure through him far faster than he thought was possible. Gods, she was amazing!
Drez could hardly keep himself from falling over as a wave of pleasure nearly killed him. He whimpered as his hand held Kira closer and closer. Gods, he could well be killing himself!
Gasping in release, Drez could swear he'd forgotten how to breath.
Drez purred as he settled her down again, rolling on to his back with only a slight grunt when he realized he'd been wounded again, "Later, Assai. I.." he took another breath, "I'm tired."
The youwarkee mumbled half asleep all ready.
Whispers came from the old, algae covered walls as reflections of the sun on the water danced across the old, cracked adobe. It was strangely surreal here and the faint calls of birds and trees seemed far too distant to be real. A sort of other-worldly peace covered the place in a gentle hush.
For a moment, the doors didn't budge.

A female's voice called from inside and Kira could just make out what she said, "Kira! You're here!"

The doors flew upon suddenly, sending a gust of wind through the temple. Everything went silent
The voice called again, but this time, Kira knew that voice. "Kira! Are you there?"
"Kira?" the voice called again, "Where...where are you?"
A whispered touch traced across Kira's cheek, catching the tear there. It felt so familiar...
Drez jolted awake, looking around in a sort of bleary state, "K-kira?" he bumbled out of the tent.

Looking around he stumbled his way towards the temple, sensing that she was there.
"Kira!" pleaded the voice as it faded away, "Don't go!...Ki--"

Drez nearly ran into Kira as he spun about a corner.
A voice scratched through his head and he turned to the open doorway. "Kira...do you..." he pulled away a little to wipe her tears, "Do you hear that?"
"No..." whispered Drez as he took a step towards the open doors, "This...this is a Spirit Shrine..."
"Can't it?" inquired Drez in a whisper as he pulled Kira closer, "Come on..."
"Of what?" inquired Drez as he lifted her face to look at him, "It's a voice. A familiar one from a Spirit Shrine. Besides, I'm here with you! Nothing can go that terribly wrong!"
"Face her?" Drez looked at her increduously, "Rose, she's calling you!"
"But why?" Drez raised an eyebrow in confusion, "She must want you to come to her. Give her some respect, Assai. She wants to see you. If for nothing else, go see her for her own sake."
"Kira!" Rose's voice came again, "Don't leave me...Please?"

Drez grinned as he inched closer to the doors, "You see? She doesn't care. She wants to see you. And besides...she did say please."
Drez picked her up in his arms and kissed her forehead. "I won't leave your side, Assai. Come on. We can go togehter!"
Stepping into the temple, there was a sudden hush and the youwarkee looked about carefully for a moment before stepping further in. A whirl of wind slowly curled about them, focusing in the center of the round room as if it were a sort of vortex.
A white whisp shimmered into view as if coming from the windy vortex. It walked towards them, an arm outstretched for a moment before the wind slowly started to die down and the strange apparation started to take form.
The dragonian stood before them for a moment, looking about her before spotting Drez and Kira. With a shriek of glee, she jumped on them, sending all three of them to the floor. She chattered happily as she scrambled over the startled youwarkee to give Kira a breath-stealing hug.
"Oh Kira!" she gasped happily, "I've been wanting to see you for forever! I was hoping you'd find somewhere that I could see you or at least, talk to you! I've been about as close to insane dealing with the twins without you!"
Rose wrapped her arms about Kira again and sighed, her eyes closed, "I've missed you, Kira."
"What's wrong, Kira?" Rose's voice sounded hurt, "Did I do something wrong?"
"Kira," Rose begged again, trying her best to look at Kira's face as she kept looking down, "Come on! It's me! It's really me! Come on...please talk to me?"
"Kira!" Rose's voice repremanded her gently as the dragonian wrapped her arms about the dragoness again, "I know what happened and there isn't anything you can do about it. Come on, it's over. I'm in a better place now..."
"Kira!" Rose's voice sounded so stern, the dragoness look had to look up at her, "I don't know how you can possibly be thinking that anymore! What was meant to happen was going to happen, whether it was by your hand or not, so stop this at once! I have to regrets and you shouldn't either. You're still alive, by the Gods, and that ought to be reason enough for you to celebrate! Moreover, I traveled all the way here to see you. That should be reason enough for you."
Little Rose took a step back. "You..you don't want to face me?" She looked hurt and her voice said just as much as she back away from them, slowly retracing her steps to the portal as it opened again, "You don't want to see me, Kira? But I thought..." she sighed as she turned back to the portal, "I guess I'll leave then..."
The dragonian sighed, "Then I guess there really is no hope, Kira. I wanted to come back. I wanted to see you. But if you don't want me here; don't want to face the facts and understand that Malise is responsible and not you?" Rose sighed and shook her head, "Then there is no hope for you and no chance that I might ever return."
The dragonian smiled faintly, taking another step towards the vortex, "No. You didn't."

She looked back as sounds came from the other realm, "They're calling me, Kira. My time here is growing short. I must leave. Maybe, in time, you'll come back...? I really would like that. I'll be waiting here again..."

The winds whipped up, stealing whatever the dragonian would have said next as she shimmered out of existence again. "...Goodbye...Kira..."
Drez ran after her, enveloping her in his arms, hushing her gently as a hand ran through her hair. Gods, she was probably more miserable than ever now!
Drez picked up the dragoness' curled up form and rocked her gently, hushing her as he kissed her forehead, "I'm here, Kira. I'm here..."
"For what?" Drez looked at her, "You've done nothing I wouldn't have done in your stead. In fact, I think you did marvelously so far. Rose just needs to take things slower than what she wanted to."
The youwarkee sighed, "Kira...she has to understand that she can't rush you. She'll be back. Don't you worry about that. But it's not your fault. You weren't harsh to her...you were taken by surprise. I would be too if my long lost friend suddenly came back to life."
Drez sighed, "Come on, I'll fix us dinner and you can rest in the tent."
Chuckling, he nodded, "All right...then I'll get a blanket and you can rest while I make dinner next to you, sounds good?"
The youwarkee smiled and kissed her nose, "I love you too, Asssai. I hope you don't mind if I make a quick fondue. I don't want to leave your side for too long."
Drez chuckled at that and scratched the back of her head gently, "Well, try not to push too hard on that. I don't want any food we'll be eating to be brought back up!"
Before long, dinner was ready and they were munching happily on melted cheese, bread and fruits. Drez even managed to down a few strips of dried meat while Kira wasn't paying any attention...well, sort of.
As he packed the rest of the food away, he gently lifted Kira's head and stuffed them back in the saddle before coming back over to pick her up and carry her into the tent. "It's a good thing I had the tent pitched all ready," he smiled, "I don't think I'd have been able to with you beside me the entire time."
The youwarkee shrugged before setting her on their bedding, "So what? I'm sure a long night of cuddling will do you good...and perhaps one of us will wake up with a grin...?"
It was nearly dawn when Drez awoke and he grinned to himself as he slipped out of Kira's grasp, slowly tracing his fingers down her side, wondering just how long it would take for her to wake up with him doing this.
He traced her backside, careful not to touch the scars where her wings sprouted. His rained kisses down her side and eased her legs apart so that he could trace the fine petals of her blossoming rose.
Drez pouted for just a moment as he decided he'd try a different approach. He traced his hands down her backside, sending goosebumps across her skin with ease, slowly tickling her sides and legs until she rolled over again. This time, she was on her back and Drez grinned. So there was a way to do it...

He positioned himself on top of her, shifted onto his heels as he slowly teased every inch of her that he could reach while keeping her legs trapped under him.
"Good morning," he growled as he slowly brushed her tender petals with his hardened flesh.
He purred in her ear, as he slowly slipped inside, feeling her grip about him as she alwasy did. "If you...expected that...then it wouldn't be so much...fun," he accentuated each pause with a thrust.
Drez growled his approval as he nearly buckled under the sweet strains of their lovemaking.
"Imp," he growled as his hands splayed across her stomach and inched upwards to encircle her breasts, flicking his thumbs over her nipples.
"Care to finish it for me?" The grin on his face was just getting bigger and bigger as Kira kept moving against him, her hands pressing into his chest every once in a while.
Drez purred, his hands caressing her so gently they felt like feathers, shivering across her flesh.
Drez could have died from the sheer ecstacy. He felt Kira crumple against him just as he gained his own release, pumping the rest of his seed into her as his arms came about her possessively.
The youwarkee sighed as he kept his eyes close, "I don't know how I could ever live without you, Kira..." he murmured.
"Smitten?" chuckled Drez, his eyes still closed, "I think I'm far past just smitten, Assai.."
"Better for who?" returned the youwarkee as he wriggled as close as he could into her, "I don't think I'd care for anyone but you either way."
Drez frowned up at her, "Didn't you know, Kira? Youwarkees mate for life."
Drez shrugged, "Mother and Father didn't get together for years...I don't really know."
The youwarkee laughed, "Kira...you're immortal. If anything, I'd feel sorry for you!"
"If anything, I'll be the one visiting you from the grave," he cooed gently, sighing as he stetched languidly, "I can just imagine surprising you somehow like that..."
The youwarkee sighed quietly, "With any luck, we'll think of a way. But don't worry about it now. That's not for years to come."
The youwarkee chuckled, "Tell you what...get some rest and we can talk to Mother about it later on..." Drez was a bit worn from so much exercise recently, he was amazed at how quickly he started to doze off.
Drez awoke first, slowly focusing on what was about them. It was dark, whether late or early in the day, he wasn't sure, but it was nearly pitch black out. The fire was merely coals and the sounds of whispered voices were coming from the temple again. Perhaps Rose was trying to contact them again?
Drez looked towards the temple and sighed. Waking Kira seemed so counterproductive. For a moment, he nuzzled her neck before lifting her and placing her in the tent. They could wait until morning.
"Oh," purred Drez, "Come on, Assai, we have to get up."
The youwarkee chuckled and stroked her hair, "I know, Kira. But we can't waste away the day. There is much that must be done."
As she turned about, he handed her an herb, "This'll help with the nausea...."
"What are we going to call our first child," mused Drez as he looked at Kira lovingly.
Kissing her nose, Drez sighed, "Whatever the case may be, I know I'll love them."
"Kira?" Drez looked at her worriedly, "What...what is it?"
"You know very well what. You're trying to hide something from me...what is it?"

He caught her chin and raised it until their noses touched, "I love you, Assai, and I'm not letting you keep anything that's worrying you away from me. I'm here for you for the rest of my life." A somewhat devilish grin came across his face for a moment, "Whether you like it or not!"

The thought of her actually not wanting him around amused him. That would never happen, right?
"Assai," he cooed gently, kissing her ear, "You don't have to worry about anything. I'll do whatever I can for you. You know that, right?"
"But you'll know the signs if they go that route too, won't you," grinned Drez, "I'm almost certain I'd be oblivious to it all. You've learned so much with your life and all I have to offer our children is..." he frowned for a moment, making a few choice faces before shrugging, "I guess the same as Mother...lots of scrolls and encryptions."
"Seriously, Assai," growled Drez as he stood up and walked around the fire, feeling a bit restless, "You know more about the female body that I'll ever know. Moreover, you've done more than that with your life. You don't need to teach children anything to be a good parent. It just takes understanding and love. That's what Father always said...and he's drunk most of the time!"
"If there's more than that, Assai," answered Drez, "Then you and I'll both have to learn of it together."
"Oh, pish!" grinned Drez, "You'll do fine! And if we have trouble, you know Mother will lend us a hand!"
"Come on, Kira," tried Drez, "I'm only trying to calm your worries...."

He kissed her forehead before poking at the half-dead fire. They'd need something to eat soon.
"Assai," he cooed as he wrapped himself about her, "You know I'd never want anyone else! I don't care what's happened to you... You'll always be mine."

He bend over and kissed the side of her mouth tenderly.
"Not as much as I love you," he answered.

For a moment, they stood there like that, but growling tummies soon brought them back to the point: they needed to make something to eat and now.
"When Rose is able to, she'll try calling you again," Drez glanced at Kira thoughtfully, "I think she just want her best friend back, Kira."
"Then what's keeping you from going to her?" Drez cringed a little as he said that. He didn't want to distress Kira anymore than he had to.
"Think of all the times you loved her?" suggested Drez, "It's not like that's all you two did together. You were as close to siamese twins as possible! What did you do before all of that? Like when she fell out of that tree because she was hiding from Aunt Rio with a piece of pie..."
"What's left if you don't remember the good times?" inquired the youwarkee.
"What use is guilt?" inquired Drez, "It makes you stay away from those you love... There's little use in it. Don't you think Rose would want you to remember her like she was before everything changed? When she was happy and you were playing? Don't you think she'd want that from you?"
"Rose still wants to see you," Drez's voice softened as he glanced up at the temple, "She'll not stop wanting to see you until you two work soemthing out. You know that, right?"
"Do you want to go back yet?" inquired Drez as he handed her a plate of food.
The food was delicious and Drez was quite proud that he'd manage to make something decent for his fiance. He stole a kiss as he finished his plate and noticed that Kira hadn't even touched hers, "Eat up, Kira," he nudged her gently, "The day's started without us today."
"I know, Assai," Drez forced a smile, "But you must eat something."
Drez made a lopsided grin at that, "I'm not the best at pretending something I'm not either, Assai. Now eat up."
"Kira," growled Drez as he eyed her, "You know I won't do that."
The youwarkee kissed her gently before standing up, "Hurry up, Assai. I have a feeling that somethings going to happen real soon...."
Before long, they stood outside the temple once more. It didn't seem the least bit different than the last time. A gentle gust of wind brushed by them, but there were no words spoken. It's was deathly quiet.
Drez led her into the temple and looked about. It was bare like last time and--unlike last time--silent. "Do you think Rose is all ready here?" he mused.
"I know very little about these places," Drez made a face as he scanned the room carefully, "Usually, it's the spirits that decide when to show up and the living merely have to wait for them to show. There's a few records where people call out the name of the person they want though...."
"Most of these places were built by my ancestors," Drez smiled, "I don't remember what clan, but Mother said that practically anything older than the other kindreds is most likely built by youwarkee hand. I think she said that youwarkees were the first kin born...." He rolled his eyes at that, "I don't know if I'd believe any of that though."
"...Kira..." a voice whispered on the wind for just a moment.
"What is it, Assai?" the youwarkee pulled her into his arms and started to rub the goosebumps away.
"She...Rose?" Drez looked about for a moment before turning back to Kira.
The vortex opened once more and a silhouette appeared, slowly walking towards them with her arms open, "Kira..."

It was not Little Rose that came forth.
"...Is that..." Drez frowned as a strange man came through the portal.

"Child of my sister," the voice spoke so calmly, "You have come home."

"Who...are you?" Drez frowned at the strange shadow.

"I am glad that your mother survived," the man that stood before them looked almost identical to Rayne, "I know why you have come here. But the power of this temple is fading. You must hurry. The last of the great youwarkee nation is dieing and with it, the powers we've kept to ourselves."

Drez glanced at Kira in confusion, "I know you do not yet understand, but within the fortnight, this temple will be nothing but an empty shell. I will keep this temple's powers here as long as I may, but you must complete this task before time is at an end."

The shadow turned back, "Do not tarry, youwarkee."

For a moment, the temple was empty again. The temple shuddered as a portal was flung open. The dragonian stood before them so suddenly, it surprised everyone, including Rose.
"...I..." Drez scratched the back of his head and looked at both girls for a moment, "I think that was my uncle..."
"When my mother was born, her brother was the one that took her away from the youwarkee nation. His name was Abel Rhaia..." Drez frowned, "I would have thought he'd look differently than that."

The dragonian watched them for a while longer before crossing her arms and smiling, "Are we more interesting in him or me?"
"Don't give me that look, Kira," The draognian pouted, crossing her arms in a manner well known to all three of them by now, "Stop beating yourself up over the past. I'm fine now."
"Kira," the dragonian came to her and wrapped her arms about her, "Do I look upset? Do I look hurt? It's the past. I'm happy where I am now."
The dragonian sighed, shaking her head, "...Kira, I'm grown. You see me a child because you can't see me growing up. Because, to you, I'm not able to anymore. There are so many new and wondrous things I'm learning and doing now, Kira."

Drez glanced down at Kira and frowned, This was a strange trickery for sure. He saw Rose just as old as they, yet Kira did not.
"You've grown into a beautiful young woman," smiled Drez for a moment, "I'll bet Uncle Kikio and Aunt Rio are proud of you, Rose."

The dragonian blushed, her hands folded behind her as she swung from side to side. "I hope that both of you will join me here one day."
Rose took Kira's hands in her own suddenly and pulled the dragoness closer, away from the youwarkee, "Oh, Kira! I've not seen you in forever and I can't remember missing you anywhere as terribly!" She hugged the startled dragoness so tightly, Kira thought she'd never breathe again.
"Oh, come on, Kira," Rose made a pouty face as she raised a hand to wave before the dragoness' face, "At least look at me! I've missed you so much! Please don't be upset about what happened. Everything's been so wonderful and peaceful since then for me. And I can't stop worrying about you because of it all.."
"...Kira..." Rose's voice shifted slowly, making the dragoness look up for a moment.

She stood before her a grown woman, her hands clasping her elbows as she looked at Kira, wavering a little. "Would you destroy all the wonderful things you have just because of me? You and I are like sisters."

The dragonian knelt down next to Kira and placed a hand on her shoulder, "We've always shared everything with each other, even things we swore to other people we'd never tell anyone else. We're a team, Kira, always together. And no matter what happens, it's always going to stay that way. But if you die..."

Looking away for a moment, Rose sighed, "...then neither of us will enjoy the beauties of life. Would deny both of us that joy? That pleasure?"
"I'm always with you, Kira," sighed Rose as she settled down before the dragoness, nestling her chin into her palms, "Even if you don't see me, I'll be there. When you cry, I'm there; when you laugh, I'm there."

Rose flopped forward so that she was bent double, resting her chin on the floor, "So I'm dead and I can't explore and experience absolutely nothing in this world. If that were true, Kira, how would I be here today?"

She sneezed in the dust that hung on everything, "I've been following you since you left the forest. No matter where you go, I'm going to be there watching you. We're like sisters and even death isn't going to change that."

Sitting up, she folded her arms before her and her lip stuck out as she pouted, "And there's nothing that's every going to change that!"
The dragonian enveloped Kira, a quite sigh escaping her lips as she rubbed her dear friend's back, waiting for her to calm enough so they could talk of other things.
"I'm always there, Kira," laughed Rose gently, "That's it is. But there's more than one way to sow a button, as Momma says."
The dragonian grinned at that, "You never know. Maybe I can convince someone to let me become a bird for a day or something. I know it's possible."

Drez stiffled a chuckle.
"You don't have to do anything," grinned Rose as she squeezed Kira again, "Just close your eyes and think of me. I'm always there. I might not be able to talk as well, but I'm there."

"A talking bird," mused Drez to himself as he stood against the massive door frame with a grin on his face.
"Don't worry, Kira," laughed Rose as she leaned against the dragoness, "Between you and me, there's nothing we can't do. I'll bet there's a way for everything if you think hard enough."
"And when you look at him?" Rose nodded her chin towards Drez, "Do you see a Momma's Boy?"

"Hey!"
"Eye of the beholder," grinned Rose with a giggle.

Drez made a face and crossed his arms, giving them both that familiar glare when he wasn't too pleased with either of them.
Sticking his tongue out at her, he turned around and plopped down on the stoop, "We'll see about that..." he grumbled.

[I'm thinking of when Kira wants something from cellar in stable that's off limits]
For a moment, the dragonian enjoyed herself like she would have had seen been alive still. But time was wasting and there wasn't much left. A few days or whatever....
"Just thinking to myself," grinned the dragonian, "Wondering what I'll do for the few days we have before the temple fades away."
The youwarkee rolled his eyes as he watched them. The two of them were so odd sometimes. "Swimming?" suggested Rose suddenly as she spun to her feet.
The youwarkee raised an eyebrow at that, wondering what she was planning.
"I've not left your side for one minute," answered Rose matter-of-factly, "Though I would prefer not to know somethings between you and...um...Drez." A blush covered the dragonian's face.
The dragonian nodded, "I know."
"I couldn't believe it when I saw it," sighed Rose as she smiled into her dear friend's eyes, "I mean, marrying Drez? We used to fight over who would get to have the next dance with him!"
The dragonian smiled, "I know, Kira." Taking the dragoness' hands, she clung to them with a sort of sadness, "Show her you love her and that's all she'll need. Just like Aunt Rose always did."
"And she didn't think she would be," Rose smiled faintly, "but she had help, just like you will."

She glanced at Drez with a quiet laugh, "Perhaps too much help with Aunt Rayne still around."
The dragonian smiled, "I'm beginning to think it's an inheiritted trait..."
The dragonian grinned even bigger, "Kira, Momma's an empath too. I've heard thousands of stories from her about our mothers before they settled down!"
"I'm told not much different than afterwards...just less killing and avoiding being killed," the dragonian sighed for a moment, "Momma's real excited about the baby, Kira. She says it's about time that the two families were united by something more than fake death threats."

[referring to Rayne and Rose in the very beginning ;)]
The dragonian grinned, "You'll have to ask Aunt Rayne about the specifics. But I do know that when Aunt Rose met up with her they started out on the wrong wing and...well, Momma says she could tell they both remembered that first legend together really well."
"Nor is Aunt Rayne," answered Rose. She shook her head after a moment, "But that's not important, Kira." She hugged the dragoness, sighed as she whispered into her ear, "You're important to all of us, Kira."
"Oh, Kira," cooed the dragonian, "I'll always be with you. No matter what happens."
"Perhaps there is a way," sighed Rose, "but I don't know of it."
dragondancer

The youwarkee shrugged, "I don't know. Mother knows a lot, but there's a lot that I'm sure she hasn't dealt with yet. The legends are suppose to take over a thousand years to complete, after all..."

Rose

Kira smiled slightly, shrugging her own shoulders. "Perhaps we'll find out when we return then?"

"Ooooo, I hope so!" Rose clapped her hand excitedly, "I want to be there when you two get married! It's going to be so exciting!"

[c:rose]=======[c]

Rose

Kira grinned a little bit. "Same old Rose."

The dragonian grinned from ear to ear as she pulled Drez down with them, "What can we do for the next few days while I'm here? I want to know everything that's happened to you, Drez. I've been so busy keeping up with Kira, I don't know what's been going on!"

[c:rose]=======[/c]

Rose

Kira smirked wryly, glancing up at Drez. "Well? Anything interesting?"

Rose

The youwarkee grinned, "I wouldn't want it any other way, Kira."
"Do you think I can?" inquired Rose, "I've never gone through a portal from the hereafter before..."
The dragonian squinted up at the sun for a moment, "Hoo...I don't think I've ever seen the sun so bright!"

Closing her eyes, Rose spun about, nearly falling into the lake as she did so, "Oops..." she giggled, "I almost forgot about how that works!"
"There's no gravity," answered the dragonian as she spun about with a giggle. She nearly toppled over when her foot slipped on the wet leaves, "Goodness! I didn't think I'd forget all this so quickly!"
"Thinking a lot, Assai?" cooed Drez in her ear, circling his arms about her waist, "It's quite a bit to take in, isn't it?"
[It says it's still your turn on mine...]

"Well..." Drez grinned at her for a moment, "I suppose the same way you learned the first time? ...Time, love, and a lot of patience. Be whatever you think you should be, Kira. That's all anyone can ask of you. After all, my whole family's there for us...even if some of them don't know it yet."
The youwarkee shrugged, "There's always something else, Kira. Even if it just doesn't seem possible at the moment."
The dragonian was all ready out of the water and drying off beside Sancho when they got there. Her mouth was smeared with chocolate as she looked up at them, "I don't think I've ever loved chocolate so much!" she grinned.
"Well," answered Drez with a chuckle, "The chocolate, anyways. I'm surprised you haven't gotten a stomach ache from all that chocolate, Rose."

He knelt down to check to see what they had in manner of supplies.
"You're not upset, are you, Drez?" inquired the dragonian as she looked up at him.

Stretching for a moment, he smiled at her and gave her a quick wink, "No, but we're in need of supplies. I had not planned on being away from home so long."
Not really," answered the youwarkee with a shrug, "I usually don't go out for more than a few days before returning home. Some of the legends can change while I'm away and I shouldn't intervene ones like that."
"And me?" inquired the dragonian with a worried look, "I don't know if I can go that far. I have to return through the portal before the temple crumbles. It's dangerous enough for me to leave the temple as it is, but to go all the way back to the inn? I don't...know..."
"There's another way, Kira," Drez spoke softly, "I can ride there and back in a matter of a few days. I'm sure you two can live on what we have left. Then you both can spend some time together without me being underfoot."
"I don't want to leave you here, Kira," asserted the youwarkee as he started to saddle Sancho, "But I know you have no desire to leave Rose while we gather more supplies. It seems like the best thing to do. ...Are you sure you'll be okay without me?" He turned as he spoke, taking Kira's chin in his hands with concern in his eyes.
"I still will," answered the youwarkee.
The dragonian giggled at that and tugged Kira's arm, "He's always worried about you, Kira. I doubt growing up has changed that!"

Drez made a face at her.
The dragonian laughed, "He practically busted down the door every time he heard you were sick. It just happens that Aunt Rose and Momma were usually there to stop him!"

"...Tattletail," grumbled the youwarkee as he checked the straps to the saddle once more.
The dragonian giggled, "Seems to be a family trait to be dramatic about these things..."
"Mother kept me away a lot, if you don't recall," Drez sighed before swinging up on Sancho.
"Anything," chorused Drez and Rio. The dragonian smiled at him for a moment before turning back to Kira, "Momma always said that Aunt Rayne was over protective."
The youwarkee smiled a little at that. "It's also the time when youwarkees have to decide their...well, Mother calls it vocation..." he shrugged at that, "I really didn't take too long to choose that. I knew I'd follow Mother into the legends and everything. But then came all that..." he made a face, "Studying."
The youwarkee frowned at that, "I would never think of you like that, Kira. Mother loves you just as much as me. I'm sure she thought keeping us apart was for the better on both sides."

Sancho snorted and pawed the ground, eager to get going.
"I think it's more because Aunt Rayne is over protective," mumbled Rose as she sat down next to the fire.

The dragonian rummaged through what foodstuff they had, quietly waiting for Drez and Kira to finish saying good-bye. She'd have a great deal of alone time with Kira once Drez took off.

"I should go," sighed Drez as he stroked the horse's mane, "Sancho is restless and I can be back in two day's time if I hurry."
"As I will you," grinned the blue-haired youwarkee, "I'll be back as quick as I can--I promise."

With that, the horse and rider disappeared with a cloud of smoke. They would be headed straight to the inn at break-neck speed.
"I want to be there when you name the baby," sighed Rose with a pout, "I want to hold her in my arms and kiss her...just like Momma did for Aunt Rose..." She scooted over to Kira and looked off in the same direction as the dragoness.
"Momma could too," grinned the dragonian for a moment, "She knew you were going to be a girl before Aunt Rose knew about you."
"No more amusing that the look on your face when you found out it's a girl," grinned the dragonian before looking away.
"She's not very old yet, Kira," answered the dragonian as she flopped down next her, "I think you have to be three months along or so."
The dragonian blushed, "Momma says it's a very rare gift. But I don't really care about that. I've always wanted to be with you, Kira. Even thinking of getting married and leaving you worried me." She shrugged, "At least now I won't have to worry about all that. I can stay with you no matter what happens..."
"Momma said something about..." she puzzled a bit, "a honeymoon and getting my own place?"
"I don't think Aunt Rayne would have liked that," mused the dragonian sullenly, "She had a hard enough time everytime Momma showed up. I don't think I've ever seen Aunt Rayne at east around Momma..."

The dragonian chuckled for a moment, "I think it's because of the messes that usually came with us showing up."
"And we were always running away from angry Aunt Rayne," grinned the dragonian mischieviously, "Gods...I wish I could see her again. I'll bet she knows all about this too!"
The dragonian raised an eyebrow at Kira, "I would think Uncle Eyrion would be more trouble than us, Kira. Aunt Rayne deals with him every day!"
[say what?? I'm confused]

"But Momma says that no one can bother Aunt Rayne anymore than Uncle Eyrion," answered Rose matter-of-factly.

(He's the one that got her pregnant, after all *giggle* )
"Because they love you," answered the dragonian as she rolled her eyes, "Why does anyone put up with anyone? It's love. Friend or not, it's always love and such that keeps people from wringing each other's neck."
"I'd re-think that one," chuckled Rose, "Momma says that it's because of love and all our emotions that the realm's the way it is."
"Because of his love for money and pain," the dragonian's voice echoed eerily at that.

When the dragoness turned to look at Rose, she saw a sad frown on the girl's face.
"You don't have to love something in the way you and Drez are..." the dragonian sighed, "I really don't like being able to sense people's feelings who are like that...."
The dragonian raised an eyebrow, "If anything, Kira, it made me realize just how much pain I missed."
The dragonian chuckled a little to herself. There were some that would say otherwise....
"Just a thought," shrugged Rose before glancing at Kira, "Betcha I can swim out to the temple and back faster than you!"
Tumbling head first into the water when she tripped on her skirts, the dragonian shrieked. Coming up for air with a sputter just in time to see Kira catapult into the water next to her.
Sputtering for a moment, the dragonian splashed after Kira. She was still rather good at swimming and they both tagged the temple at the same time, "Gods," gasped the dragonian as she tredded water, "I thought for a moment I was going to die all over again or something!"
Shaking some water out of her hair, the dragonian shrugged, "I don't care to find out!"

Her hand rested against the stone wall as she looked down into the water, "I wonder what the rest of this thing looks like..."
"I don't think this thing will tumble for a thousand years," mumbled the dragonian thoughtfully, "I think it might be more like whatever keeps that portal between planes so easy to cross from disappearing... Momma said that it's not easy to go from one plane to another..."
The dragonian shrugged, "I just don't see how something so stable can fall!"
"Magic?" inquired the dragonian curiously, "I really hadn't thought of that. That could be it..."

She glanced down for a moment before glancing up at Kira, "I'm going to see what's down there."

Taking a gulp of air she swiftly dove under water, shifting to her dragonic form easily.
Treasure wasn't too far off of what the dragonian found. She swam about the column several time befor finally deciding to return to the surface to tell Kira of her curious discovery. The whole temple was held up, not by brick and stone, but rather...seaweed and other such water plants.
"You won't believe this!" gasped Rose as she flung herself up beside Kira, splashing water all over the place, "The tower's floating!"
Whipping her soggy hair behind her, the dragonian laughed with glee, "It makes sense now! The tower's not going to crumble...It's going to sink!"
"I didn't see the bottom when I was down there," answer the dragonian with a shrug, "Nothing that big is going to just up and crumble to dust for no good reason!"
The dragonian sighed, flopping backwards and smacking her head against the pavement, "Ouch!" she yelped, rubbing the back of her head.
"Actually," pouted the dragonian, "There's pain and a ground...But gravity doesn't work the same and you can usually pass through solid objects."
The dragonian shrugged, "I suppose.."
