SHE WAITS

She waited a lifetime to capture a dream
Her wandering feet searching for a sparkling stream.
Where she’d be appreciated for who she was,
And someone who knew what real dreams are made of

Found the search ended when much to her surprise,
Two spirits connected that brought joy to her life
A kindred soul she had eagerly awaited
Was sent by the Great Spirit to leave her elated

She no longer waits for a dream undiscovered
Conted within, her newfound friend like no other
Her spirit soars like the eagle, oh, how her heart sings
He’s given her all she ever wanted, she yearns to give him everything

She waits to hear from him for the kindness he extends
Like her, he is honest, and no need to pretend
Spirits they share eternally, no one can take it away
She thinks more of him with the passage of every day
She no longer waits, for she has found him.
No longer does she wait.
