The Room I left you in

I walked into a room

That was empty of all things.

I sat there in silence

And listed to the noise.

Of my thoughts,

Shouting and screaming.

Of memories clamering.

The noise all dimmed when you eneterd my minds eye

All thoughts became focused on you.

Who are you to do this?

Who are you to hurt?

Why should I let you?

Why did you slip in?

I sit in silence as I wonder on my life

And I realise that I need nothing

But me, myself and I.

My thoughts are still screaming

My memories still shout

But I walk away with my head held high

From the room I left you in.
