This was written 12/18/04 when I was going through a depressed stage of my life.

Am I going insane?
The only person with a brain?
I'm hearing voices, but all they do is complain.

Can you see past,
This happy face I call a mask?
My life is falling apart so fast.

I look up, and I look down.
By this pain I am always bound.
Nothing but bad things have I found.

Tomorrow will be better.
They say, "if she wants to let her."
To me, this world just gets deader.

Why do they ignore it?
In this world I just don't fit.
This light has gone out, that once was lit.

As I sit here, I try to understand.
Their foundation is rock, while mine is sand.
They have their fists, I have an open hand.

Am I going insane?
The only person with a brain?
I'm hearing voices, but all they do is complain.
