Poem about the intimate details of an infants room from a parents perspective.
While Baby Sleeps

In baby's room,
there are bears and dolls.

A toy box,
full with animals.

Glowing stars,
stuck on the walls.

The bookshelves,
are stuffed full with books.

Lots of puppets,
hang from tiny hooks.

Shirts and pants,
rest in drawers.

Leaving socks and shoes,
scattered on the floor.

The window curtains,
dangle and touch the ground.

While baby sleeps,
without a sound.

A nightlight glows,
on the far wall.

The rooms faint reflection,
cast from a silvery ball.

Parents listen,
for the slightest cry.

While baby sleeps,
night drifts...slowly...by.
