Streaks

Black and white,
such a simplistic view.

Shades of grey,
some say.

Greens and reds make momentary passing.

A deeper color I have found need to recognize
My streaks of purple.

Are they the answer to my questions?

Each shade from the lavender to the amethyst,
from the lilac to the magenta,
each tell a varied view.

They each say
I am a piece of you.

Each color is of substance,
each fragment imperative.

Embrace your purple streaks
They are what complete you.
