A teen to be reminds me of myself at her age
I got my inspiration for this story
from a child who read a story I wrote in the form of a letter to my youngest brother. so this one's for her.

Becky is a young girl who will be thirteen soon. she has questions and fears all the same.
She can't go to her Mom!! NOWAY!! that would be un cool!!

Becky thought and thought. Hmmmm she says who can I turn to? Aha!! she says aloud. I can go to Jackie she's been there she can help.

Becky goes into Jackie's room and finds her sister doing homework. Jackie says what do you want squirt? Beckey says well Jackie, I have some questions. As you know I will be thirteen next month and things are happening, well changing. I can't go to mom that would be social suicide!!

Jackie says Becky, get out of my room. Go play with your little friends, or experiment with make up or something but leave me alone. I don't care about your birthday.

Becky, feeling as if she had lost her best friend got on the internet and did some reading.

She found a story about a child growing up too fast and his big sister wanted keep him little for ever. She was moved by the words and contacted the writter. The writter was hurt by the older sister's lack of caring.

The writter wanted to help the young girl and be supportive the best way she could.

Becky Said HA Jackie !! You don't care but I found some one who does!!

Jackie's feelings are hurt. She loves her little sister but doesn't know how to show it. Jackie is a teenager herself. She is still in the state of confusion she felt at thirteen.

Jackie takes Becky by the hand and says come here sweety. They Enter Jackies room and sit on the bed.

Jackie says to Becky I care. I just can't help you. I am still confused.

Becky stares in disbelief.

Jackie says Let me let you in on a secret,
you can go to mom on this or dad for that matter.
Just don't tell your friends and it won't be social suicide, and maybe you could even help me not be so scared and confused. If you go to mom it will give me the courage to do the same!!

Besides Becky, any thing you can do I could do it ten times better!!!!

Becky and Jackie laugh and they have a pillow fight.
For old times sake Jackie says. The girls laugh and giggle as they smack eachother with pillows. they eventually fall asleep side by side in Jackie's bed. Thier dad comes in to check on them and carries Becky in to her own room.

The next day Becky's Father says to her you and Jackie had a real heart to heart talk didn't you?
Becky says Yes, how did you know?

Becky's father says three things gave you away.
Becky asks what were they? The girls' Father says well for starters you and your sister haven't argued all day. Secondly there were feathers everywhere in your sisters room from a pillow fight.(Becky giggles) and third you fell asleep in her room in her bed next to her. Jackie wouldn't have allowed that in a million years!!
Becky aks how did I get in my room? Her father replies I carried you. Daddy!!! Becky groans!! I am not little anymore that's how you hurt your back the last time you picked me up!!!
No Becky her father replies You didn't want picked up and you squirmed. I held on tighter so I wouldn't drop you and the way I twisted around to put you on a soft surface hurt my back.
Oh! sorry daddy Becky replies. Its ok honey I'm just glad you and Jackie aren't fighting any more.
Careful daddy!! you wouldn't want to jinx it would you? Becky jokes. Her father laughed.

The End!!!
