Sometimes I Wonder...

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever make a difference in this life
Through all my acts of kindness, will there still be pain and strife?
I try my hardest to do my best,
Even if it doesn’t matter to the rest.

When I get a stare from a smile
I wonder if it is all worth the while.
I want people to know what it means
For something to be different than what it seems

With all the stereotypes surrounding me,
Sometimes it’s hard to stop and see.
Yet when people do they come to know,
The kindness that I often show.
