i wrote this poem for my love |
She use to dream, of those far places The ones only reached by imagination You all know the ones, I’m talking about Where no one cried, or shouted, or frowned Where love was given to all, by everyone And it was peaceful, calm, and happy As she got older she turned to books, Romances mostly The ones that had ‘happily ever after’ at the end With kisses and hugs and some tears, and such She believed in true love, you know the kind She just never believed it could happen to her Cause you see she’d given up on love altogether No guy could love such a insane person, Or so she thought That fateful day I do recall, like yesterday It all started because of a paper war He hit her, so she hit him back, and simple as that They started to flirt with out hesitation When he heard that she’d given up He just couldn’t stand and let her They sat and argued that whole class Then that day she gave him her email It seemed like a harmless thing to do But then again, it changed her life Two people had fallen in love Not seeing it happen they just went along Because of a paper and an unlikely miss Now look at them just months later Boy how the time has flown And their lives couldn’t be any worse They’re happy the two of them, standing there I wonder what the future might hold But one thing’s for sure, it holds him and her Did God play a hand in that fateful day? Or was it just chance the paper went my way? It seems so strange, will their love last? I think so… So here they stand, so much to look back on And so much to look forward to Which leaves me with just these questions Is this true love? Or is it just lust? Could we be wrong? Its not up to me to say, yes or no We all have opinions of our own So you tell me… Is it love? |
