dark poetry contest one

unslit wrists look so pure

unscarred, undamaged, so fucking naive

dying was never so easy

bleeding was never so simple

take the force in which you scream and wrap it around your throat

it doesn't make sense how you just can't cry

not one single tear has fallen from your eye

that is why you love to bleed

another form of remedy

emotions from the inside, show clear on the outside

witch doctors know ways untold and undocumented

bleeding sooths our incurable disease

its never been so easy

but its never been so hard

we cut the skin in which we were born

a search for answers

a search for purpose

we can never say what the reason

however frequently asked why

and so she says she has her own ideas of suicide

crew, unusual, sadistic, and sad

we don't agree, but if that’s how she dies...
