Poems for my Father

I wrote this first poem for fathers day when I was younger.

Dads:

Dads are wonderful,
That's why I'm a daddy's girl,
Dads can be creative,
Dads can be sensitive,
Dads can be Heroes,
Dads can be pros,
And most of all dads can be loving,
But my dad,
He's everything,
My dad is creative,
My dad is sensitive,
My dad is definitely my hero,
And my dad is a pro,
My dad is a pro at being a dad,
I appreciate all you dads,
But I love my dad.

Daddy's Girl:

It's the weekend,
I need some cash for us girls to spend,
I bat my big green eyes,
Say "I love you Daddy",
And of course, I get some money,
Not just the ten I asked for, but twenty,
"wow", I think, it's great to be a daddy's girl,
But now I'm starting to realize,
that's not the wonderful thing about my dad,
I'm starting to notice,
Even his personality is not half bad,
My dad has some really good traits,
He makes my mom feel great,
He is very smart,
And he loves my brother and I with all his heart,
He may raise his voice,
But only when I'm making a bad choice,
He may look me in the eye,
And say "I really don't like this guy",
And once I think about it,
neither do I,
So you see,
I love my dad for more than his money,
I don't know what I'll do when he leaves this world,
But until I do too,
I will always be a daddy's girl.
