New Beginings

I often wonder how is it that amongst all the splendor of Gods creation that He loves and cares for us. What am I next to a star, or how can I compare to the wonder of the Grand Canyon? I often ask myself how is it that God could use a person like me to do a work far greater than anything I could dream of. In a world of such darkness how is it that God can see past the faults and imperfections of mankind, and how is it that beneath that layer of sin he finds something beautiful. I cannot understand or comprehend the reason behind it but I do know the answer is simply Gods mercy and his grace and his love. It is to his glory I dedicate this poem.


If I could with pen write or with words tell,
The love of God and how he saved me from hell,
And sent his son to die in my stead,
When at first on his grace I did tread,
If I could fully grasp the wonder of his power,
And see how his mercy is like a strong tower,
Then I would truly be blessed beyond all measure.

For a paper cannot hold or words tell,
The reason God chose to save me from hell,
And why he sent his son to die upon a tree,
It was his greatest gift of life to me,
I cannot even begin to comprehend his power,
But I can tell of its finest hour,
When God gave to humanity his finest treasure.



For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
