A little girl has enough fait in God to believe that he will relieve her even of Hiccups.
[Introduction]
A little toddler girl
Blonde and about three
Walked up to her sister
And sat upon her knee.

Her brown eyes looked up
And gazed on her sister's face.
She giggled as she held
Her teddy, crowned with lace.

Her sister smiled down
At that little girl, so small
Not knowing that a lesson
Would be soon be taught to teach them all.

The little baby girl
Grinned and began to say
"Brother tried to catch me,
But I ran away"

But as soon as she
Had opened up her mouth
A tiny, cutesie hiccup
Somehow got out.

Her older sister smiled
At her little girl's look;
When she had hiccuped
Her confidence had been shook.

The little girled looked sad
As she asked her sister dear,
"Is there *hic* any way
To have these hicc-*hic*-up's leave here?"

The older sister realized
This was a perfect time
To teach a lesson of faith
Of our Lord divine.

She said to the tiny girl
"If you truly believe
That our Father can take your hiccup's,
Then He will relieve."

"Do you trust in Him,
And that He can help you?"
She asked her small sister.
Her two words were "I do"

"Then ask our Heavenly Father," said she,
"Ask Him in a prayer."

The two of them kneeled down
"Father, can you hear me?"
And will you *hic* please
Take these hicc-*hic*-ups from me?"

The oldest sister listened
To the younger's prayer, and then
Her eyes began to water
When the tiny voice said "In Jesus' name, Amen"

When they stood up together
They noticed something great...
The child's hiccups were gone!
And not one second late.

The little girl was estatic
As she ran from the room.
The eldest was in awe
As I looked around my room.

I am the older sister,
And the younger was my own.
Yes, she had the hiccups,
We prayed, then they were gone.

Jocelyn taught me
What I'v strived to teach her;
If you have faith in our God,
And if that faith is sure

Than you can move mountains,
Make cloudy skies clear up.
If you believe our Lord can help you,
You can even relieve hiccups.

My darling little sister
Was 'close enough to touch'.
And she has shown me today
That that is enough.
